you gotta place it as close to the front of your head as possible so you can have a small amount of leave out, the less leave out the better it blends i find its better to have ur hair in a blown out state opposed to trying to match the curl pattern

Try doing a braid out on your stretched hair or twist out im not sure if it will work but it will prob blend better curlier!!
