@_lexi_nocturna_: Today’s “Creepy Crypts” takes us out to Hollywood, CA to visit Hollywood Forever Cemetery and visit the final resting place of Italian film star and dancer Rudolph Valentino ( May 6, 1895- August 23, 1926). Valentino was known as being “the Latin lover” and was one of the most iconic actors during the silent film era and a prominent symbol of the glamour of Old Hollywood. His rise to fame occurred during the 1920’s silent film era where he reached international status due to his expressive performances, romantic intensity, and exotic screen presence. He had a prominent career in film and served as a dancer in New York. He was involved in a tight knit social circle of the time including the likes of Mary Pickford and Charlie Chaplin. Some Of his notable film roles include The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (1921), The Sheik (1921), and Blood and Sand (1922). Valentino tragically passed away at the young age of 31 years old on August 23, 1926 as a result of a septic infection and was laid to rest in the Cathedral mausoleum at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. #hollywood #cemetery #actor #filmstar #italian
