My son and I frequently lay in the backyard at sunset to paint. We told him when the colors are pretty his auntie is painting the sky and he likes to paint with mommy and auntie P.

My daughter keeps talking about her nana and how she misses her and we try to explain it and sometimes it seems like she understands but then she says “I want to go to the doctor to get nana”

because they had to go, but they are always with you; they’re watching over us, loving us, and keeping us safe. you can talk to them, and you’ll always have them close to your hearts. it’s never easy when they ask something like this; i hope you are somewhere on the road to okay

My dad passed away and my kids know that roro lives in heaven with Jesus. I tell them that his time on earth was complete and it was time to go to his eternal home in the sky. Such a hard question to answer. Hugs to you 🫶🏻

This puts a pit in my stomach, my kids too have asked this. I now have 2 children that never got to meet their uncle and 2 olders that get to help me keep his memory alive for them. 🩷🫶🏽 thinking of you.

“Because sometimes life didn’t always work out in our favor. But we can always talk to the sky and they listen” me telling my 6 year old son who lost his dad at 2. I never ever lie to him about anything no matter what age because they will ask the same questions over and over as they grow up and mature. I never ever want him to ask a question at 16 that he remembers at 6 telling him a different version “because he was to young to understand” now he’s confused on if I am telling the truth or not.

I feel this my four-year-old has started asking where my mommy is and why we don’t ever see my mommy. My mom has been gone almost a decade. He did mention the other day that my mommy loves me very much.
