we got a peugeot in the Garage thats been sitting for roughly 7 years. fucker still starts after a new battery. never been started in those 7 years

I think a lot of this depends on climate as well. Other than replacing a battery, I’ve dealt with multiple vehicles that have sat for years without being run and start up fresh with a new battery. Hell, we’ve got an inherited RV up in Oklahoma that was sitting in a storage unit for years. Started right up with a new battery. On the other hand, my 2025 Ram sat for 10 days in my garage while we flew to Orlando for vacations. Both batteries were completely dead. Jumped it and took it to the dealership where they replaced both for no charge because they were bad to begin with.

I confused on one thing. Why did you ask what car it was? Aren’t all of these issues something that can happen to any gas car? Do electric vehicles even take regular car batteries?

I have a ford ranger that sat since 2018 and it runs just fine just had to put new tires alternator and battery

well, my car was sitting for around 10 years, some fuel and a battery and she went with the same brakes and tires for a while, tires were about 15 years old so didnt last but apart fromt that she didnt need anything
