@travelwithyulan: the beauty and magic of Rio 🇧🇷❤️‍🔥 I spent three weeks in this incredible city and completely fell in love with it. it quickly became one of my favorite places and I can’t wait to go back soon. 📌 save these tips for your visit! — Uber everywhere! it’s safe, reliable and reasonably priced. during the day I liked to take the Uber Moto option since it’s cheaper and quicker, but at night I would take the car. — leave the jewelry at home, get a wrist strap for your phone and don’t carry around a lot of cash. I rarely found myself on empty streets at night, I was always aware of my surroundings and belongings at the blocos and parties, and I made sure to keep my items close to me. — you can use Apple Pay for everything. I didn’t need to bring my credit card or cash with me anywhere, even the vendors at the beach carry around payment machines. — plan activities and hikes, but make sure to have some chill days as well. one of my favorite things to do was to grab a little snack from Hortifruti, get a cold coconut from the vendor at the beach and lay in the sun in Ipanema. — if you’re going to stay for a few weeks or longer, look into getting a CPF. as a tourist, you’re limited in what you can book online without one. — visiting during carnaval was one of the most amazing experiences, but know that everything is going to be a lot more expensive and you will need to book in advance to get good deals. if you’re looking for more budget-friendly travel, try visiting in the shoulder seasons. — don’t let the online noise scare you. I traveled solo my entire time in Rio and I never ran into any issues. things can happen, that’s true, but it can happen in major cities in the states as well. the city is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever visited and the atmosphere is so unreal, you’re truly missing out if you skip a visit to Rio. #travel #solotravel #riodejaneiro #brazil #creatorsearchinsights
