Stop telling moms “baby can get out more than a pump can!!!” Not all babies have a perfect latch! Whether it be due to tongue tie, lip tie, high palate, whatever. Therefore, NO they are NOT able to get more milk out than a pump. Which is something that should always be determined by a reputable LC or provider with AMPLE experience in diagnosing oral ties.

but is this not because the pump isn't getting nearly as much as the baby? I've breastfed for 15 months, never been able to pump more than 1oz per side, but baby has fed fine and stayed on the 99th centile for the whole time so he must be getting plenty? xx

4 months pp I make 2-3 oz just enough. But she drinks about 4-5oz 😭

Oversupplier here. Oatmeal cream pies, Oreos, body armor, coconut water, and tons of water. Pump every 2-3 hours for the full 30 minutes. Look up power pumping and do it about once a week. Hope it helps. I get between 18-21oz per session.

I've just accepted that pumping wasn't for me. My baby empties me good and I can actually hear her drinking good. but how I wish I could pump more than 2 oz on each.

Yeah I thought the same, but then I stopped focusing on pumping and put all my effort into getting a good latch and EBF my baby and now he’s a big ol’ 97th percentile dude. Occasionally I’ll attempt to pump here and there and I still get less than an oz. Babies are a million times more efficient at removing milk!

Girl this is me right now. I quit lol 😆 I tried the best I could. Did all the things recommend. NOTHING HELPED. Then I told myself I have never seen a difference between a breastfed baby and formula and decided it was the end for me lol. You're doing your best!

Glad to read that you are combo feeding and not just calling it. I k ow sometimes it may seem dumb to nurse when they only get a portion of what they need, but EVERY DROP COUNTS!

Try the Spectra 😭 the Momcozy barely gets any milk out for me. The Spectra helps stimulate me more and makes me produce more milk

Pumping caused my undersupply! I tried a bunch of different pumps and flange sizes and saw lactation consultants and it didn't work for me unfortunately!
