The jam cards are great, although for the likes of Irish rail there’s no proper implementation for them. Definitly so handy to have one

In Denmark we have a lanyard with sunflowers on it, and that's for mental disabilities in general

I'm autistic and I refuse to get a jam card. An post offices always make me especially anxious. The staff are dealing with the most miserable customers all day and you can tell it drains on them bc I've never met a kind or polite staff member. I feel the jam card is just performative. It's good to train staff on disability awareness but every customer should be treated as if they potentially have an invisible disability. Not just people who show the card deserve patience or kindness. A card should not be mandatory to receive basic human decency from a person who has been adequately trained to deal with the public.
