Any statistics citing the percentage of total income taxes the top 1% pay instead of the % they pay of their own realized gain is showing their bias. A middle class individual should not be paying a larger percentage of their earnings than an ultra wealthy person.

Let’s make a deal. Shift 30% of the income tax down to the working class by paying them more money. Problem solved. The rich pay a smaller piece of the pie and the middle get paid more and pays more.

Billionaires still pay large taxes. It’s just not same in percentage as a typical W-2 earner. New Yorkers will suffer most from this.

All I know is… if I have a very successful business already giving back to the community and now new law says I give an extremely high percentage more … I am moving to another state like Florida. What’s the incentive to stay ? Why would any business stay ?
