I want to be an ICU nurse but now that my dad is in that position currently it amazes me how knowledgeable nurses are but frightenes me at the same time because they are literally in charge of saving lives.

I was in icu for over 3 weeks, the icu nurses are absolutely phenomenal… once I was awake and walking with a walker they transferred me to the er wing and I was honored to give permission for a group of about 10 students to watch my trach cleaning. Straight up ICU nurses are amazing

Visited my aunt at the ICU a few months ago and she was connected to all the things you listed. It felt so overwhelming and she was intubated as well, but she’s recovering in rehab now 😊 this was so helpful!
