I’m just going back at 42 with two toddlers to PIVOT POINT Academy here in Australia. All the theory is online which really helps me and I only got in to the one year condensed course that qualifies you with the same certification as a full apprenticeship because I did YEARS of work in a salon from age 15 until 28-ish with a man who refused to send me to TAFE one day a week so I could get certified. But he paid me SO well and he was a gorgeoys gay man so my ex-husband actually allowed me to be alone with him to work. But then he closed down for dodgy business dealings and the next I saw him was in the unemployment line and he laughed at me for being there and I was too shy at that age to say “ummmm honey, you do you realise you’re here too right?” I WISH I had said that. Anyway, now that I’ve finally left my incredibly violent ex hubby I enrolled at PIVOT POINT and they have me a a full ride scholarship worth $30,000+!!!
