Ngl I had tired so many different running shoes and even have a pair of Hokas still but I tried otishi barefoot shoes and will legit not go back to cushioned running shoes again.

Look into dansko, they have sneaker styles, all of their shoes are designed by podiatrists. The clogs is what a lot of healthcare workers use, myself included, and ive done an 18 hour shift with no foot, knee, or hip pain.

I wear a women’s 8 in most shoes but I wear men’s running shoes for this exact reason. Wider toe box, better arch support, and they last longer too

I run in barefoot shoes, on the side of the road in the grass when it’s not high. Your time will be reduced slightly at first, but it’s SO much better for strengthening your feet and ligaments in your knees and ankles

Shoes make a world of difference. I used to swear by barefoot shoes because people always said running shoes cheat your feet out of their natural movement pattern. Then my shins started feeling so brittle and sore from the lack of shock absorption. Switched back to actual running shoes and now running is fun again.

Ima be honest, no distance runner I’ve met wears Hokas. Normally it’s Brooks or ASICS

Sounds silly but are they the right size? Were you fitted by someone or buying the size you’ve always had.. depending on numbness different lacing patterns can help

You're probably wrong 🤷♀️ :
I have to use barefoot shoes, any pressure on the tops of my feet from regular shoes cuts off circulation. the barefoot shoes are soft enough on top to not put pressure
I thought I was a 9.5 women’s running shoe. Turns out the best fit for my feet while running is a 9 men’s

If the shoe feels tight around your feet or toes then try getting a wide or extra wide shoe. It gives more room for your feet since when we walk, stand, or run it squishes them like pancakes and they might need more space than your regular shoes provide. Getting wider shoes fixed my foot pain while running

Try a runners loop, it locks the heel, and allows you to keep the rest of the foot looser. I also size up because feet swell when you run!

If you’re going to run barefoot it’s better to run on a track or grass to prevent injuries

NB 1080s are the only shoe I'll wear in any workout at this point. If I am not on mattresses my feet hurt so bad.
