just gonna say it, as a VERY woke person, neo pronouns are half the reason conservatives are so against everything queer because they're so odd 😭

Neo pronouns are an issue in the sense that they do negatively impact our image and effectiveness, but we do have to be careful where we put our boundaries, because it’s easy to have boundaries that are too far and make us out to be a joke, but it’s also way easier to have boundaries too tight and then you end up with a portion of the lgbt that has issues with people like myself because we have more labels than most, not in an overly exotic way, I just have a separate sexual and romantic orientation so I end up with 3 labels, those being trans/pan/aegro, not saying you’re wrong, but I am saying we have to be really careful how we handle these things

I have recently figured out that I am pan romantic and I am not sure how to tell my family
I had no problem with my friends since most of them are part of the LGBTQ community
(apologies if I typed it incorrectly I just recently learned that it changed and I am not used to it yet)
if anyone has advice for how to tell them in a way where they won't have a large reaction

I’m a genderfluid person in the queer community. I use many pronouns including Neo pronouns. I do not believe that I am any more special than anyone else. Period. I’m getting myself into college for dental hygiene. My pronouns aren’t connected to my ego, my pronouns are connected to how I feel about my gender. Do I get on people for not using my Neo’s? No, I’m not god, I’m not an authority figure in their life, and I have other pronouns. The majority of the queer community isn’t nearly as accepting as you think. This is a very “gay but not queer” take. There are no rules to gender. Also, I do still respect you, and I will still follow you for your other takes and your skits, but this isn’t the best take. Have a nice day and I hope you can eat your favorite dinner tonight

And who gets to decide what is and isn't 'Nonsensical Bullcrap'? There's plenty of people who would say my identity is the nonsense, I'm non-binary, demi-sexual. Should I be pruned for the sake of 'order' in the queer community? What about my trans-masc partner who is also demi-sexual, should he be pruned for the sake of 'order' because he has the same very specific sexuality that people often do not want to accept? The Queer community should be the one place that all Queer people should feel safe and accepted in.

Massive L take one your part dude. Blaming deluxe-weirdos because bigots are using every excuse they can to abuse us like the predators they are is exactly the kind of thing that enables bigot shit. - It all roots back to ableism, and with how much language evolves over generations, it's kinda ridiculous to try to corner pronouns into such a small box.
Blaming the weirdest queer folk is the same energy as blaming Chris-Chan for the abuse autistic people suffer, and honestly I was hoping you were going to be mature enough to call out ableism & racism, not just add to the ableism that's already permeating

I’m going to be honest, I heavily disagree with this entire take. People who hate the queer community hate us for just existing and most people who are extremely bigoted don’t even know what things like neo or xeno pronouns are. They hate binary trans people for just existing. They hate men being feminine in any way. They call our art degenerate just because it was made by us. Using the logic of “these few people who are doing things I don’t like makes people not respect us” is the same logic that people who hate the queer community use but with extra steps. I usually like your takes but the fact of the matter is, there’s bad actors in every community. Our responsibility is to call out those specific bad actors, not attempt to blame the queer community as a whole

I think a lot of it stemmed from the early Tumblr era. While it was really good for understanding a lot of identities (like asexuality for example) there was also a lot of nonsense and turning queer identities into fun role play infantilizes us and makes people want to categorize us as mentally ill. In the end it hurts us. Perspective from someone living in the deep south.

As a teacher, I experience CHILDREN snapping at me, thinking they are above me because of their queer identity. That I am oppressing them when I tell them to focus on their work/tasks and save their (more or less inappropriate) conversations for outside of school, because they are A, B, C, etc. As a teacher, I am not allowed to tell them their identity does not affect their student duties, because that would be “harmful” and/or “triggering.” What would you do or say if you were in my position?

the queer community doesn't just cannibalize itself, it has literally demonized being anything but a million pronouns like straight ppl are outright demonized and ppl have literally become trans to avoid being hated for being male (I'm pansexual and cis male)
queer ppl were already normalized a long time ago it's just gone too far.

You hit something very specific at the end that I think drives home a key difference between your ideology and those that go deep into neo-pronouns and radical queer culture. "... Becoming normalized in civilization..." they don't want to be normalized they don't want to be a part of this system, or, for a majority if they're being honest, any system.
This feeling can come from a lot of places, many valid, but the end result of the untreated trauma is the same they feel that the otherness they feel precludes them from operating in society, that it makes them special. and being special, being unique is the only thing that they find that gives value to their existence.
You're right though despite their feelings the only way for queer culture to continue to win the battles and establish safe and functional spaces that cis-het white men like me can't fuck up for them is through acceptance into and continued progress into the controlling identity of culture.
Normalization of the queer identity into a fundamental aspect of wider culture is safety for queer populations everywhere.
