Incase y’all to stupid to understand, software get more features as time goes and that means it requires more processing power compared to when it was first released. Newer hardware always more powerful than the old hardware otherwise what the point of releasing new hardware. New hardware is more powerful and is able to handle these programs that has more features now better than the old hardware. Remember Call of duty was about 8GB on xbox 360 and now call of duty on xbox series x takes more than 360GB storage, remember xbox 360 had a max of 320GB Storage. Call of duty nowadays won’t even fit on xbox 360

Back when I had the 3G and I upgraded the software to the annual patch it would crash and lose all power until I connected it to the charger. Then after I they added a new patch that problem went away and I assume that’s when they added the power throttle. I was very thankful that they fixed it. I don’t care that they didn’t disclose that.

Cars do something similar. If the computer detects premature ignition aka knocking it will adjust the timing of the engine and reduce power output to prevent excessive ware/damage. In most cases the computer will not tell the driver right away as it may just be a batch of bad gas. Yes Apple should have told the user, but the whole idea that it is some kind of plan makes no sense. Let’s design our phones out of durable high quality metals and glass, precision manufactured to exacting tolerances, use dozens of screws and fasteners to ensure a solid build. But then let’s hide some complex code to slow down the device so people have to buy a new one every 3 years.

Honestly, I’m so pro iPhone right now because I’ve owned an iPhone since 2010. I don’t really care about it. As long as Apple doesn’t fall of a cliff with the iPhone, MacBook, Apple Watch, and iPad then I don’t really care much.
