@missclairebenjamin: Handling being mis-sold a job When you take a job and it isn’t what you were led to believe at interview it can cause frustration, anger, resentment or a combination of all three. This can stem from feeling mislead, lack of enjoyment in the role, regret about taking the job, fear of how this will impact your future career and many other reasons. It’s important to not invalidate this reality therefore venting to a trusted person and processing the feelings is important. It’s also wise to try and influence the situation and it’s important not to lead with this anger/ frustration/ resentment. Focus on how you can use the skills you’re not currently using to benefit the business. 💬 What else would you add to navigate a situation like this? 📌 Please remember the advice offered in this video is general and won’t suit every situation. I moved to a job internally only to realise I was heavily mis sold from day 1 and it was hell. Luckily I managed to get my old job back a month later.

Yeah I had this and ended up getting paid off with an NDA but only because I could cause problems for the business with my professional network.
