this isn't true. just because America is now becoming anti-free speech doesn't mean it's as bad as the USSR was. the soviet union banned over 250+ domestically made films and thousands of foreign films. the US has banned between 50 and 100 films outright.

This is so true I love so many Soviet films! You can especially tell with animation; their animation styles are so diverse and unique, with some clearly super meticulously crafted. It really contrasts to US animation- so many fewer unique styles due to industry cost cutting!!

While I get where you’re coming from saying that in capitalism restricts creativity as it incentavises profit, however, alot of pieces of art and culture was out right banned in the ussr including Star Wars. His claim is just flawed

Capitalism does not allow creativity for the sake of creativity. You're supposed not to create art but to create a product. What's funny by comparing this to the USSR is at the same time the us were doing mccarthism and this red scare really did killed any freedom they had left.
