I think what a lot of people ASSUME is that Starbucks prioritizes in-store orders. When I worked at Starbucks, we did not. Drinks are made in the order the ticket prints, or the cup is written. A lot of times, people assumed because there was no line, you’d get your order immediately, not realizing that there are 10 cups ahead of you.
