Having a family doesnt make someone immune from the law. ICE isnt only about deportation, they also investigate human trafficking, child exploitation, drug smuggling, financial crimes and other cross border crimes. Federal law allows immigration detention while removal cases are being decided, so arresting someone with a valid case or removal order isnt automatically cruel, its the government enforcing laws Congress already passed. Acting like ICE only exists to hurt families ignores the public safety work they actually do.
