Shunguang had a lot of potential. Her risking herself made sense; she attached herself to the first people she saw after coming out of isolation on a mountain, then wanted to do everything to keep them safe, even if it hurt them or others emotionally. It sounds good written down, but it went downhill when her entire personality became solely based around the Proxy and all of her marketing was centred around Wise rather than her as a character. Shunguang has a good concept, the devs just didn't execute it as well as they could.

Well then you must have slept on season 2. Sry but there is no other explanation. A character who was always sheltered and made her believe that her character is to naive and Childish, in through this journey she learned that she isnt childish nor naive or reckless, she is Passionate, brave and selfless....TRADES that are meant for a HERO and became a real VOIDHUNTER. Plus its not the sword who chose her ....SHE CHOSE THE SWORD AND UNLOCKED THE TRUE POWER OF IT. Most importantly how she managed to Accept her other self is nice message for everyone that even th dark sides of our heart are part who we are. She isnt also a mary sue...cuz she leanred that her pain is also the pain of her friends...a perfect character would already know....she doesnt, a perfect character WOULDNT EVOLVE.....but she did....next time pay attetion

Them adding the sudden “met during childhood” part was so random and unnecessary imo I want to interpret it as a metaphor more than a literal thing, but idk if that’s what the dev’s had in mind. They really wanted that “childhood next door girl” thing 😭

I’m still upset that she trusted the proxy who she literally just met over her BROTHER. I wanted to see more sibling interactions between them bc as someone with a brother I love seeing relatable sibling dynamics but oh well let’s scrap that aside and focus on shunguang being madly in love with proxy like bruh. Potential ruined. Give me more familyyyy💔💔

i absolutely loooove ye shunguang. shes beautiful and very endearing and cute. but good lord even i had to skip parts of her story. her whole 'girl next door love interest' thing felt so forced. i dont mind the dating aspects of zzz (i like them) but it doesnt do well in the main story. youre telling me we just met this girl and shes suddenly in love with us??? it just doesnt work in a gacha game that introduces new characters every patch. her personality shouldnt revolve around the mc in a game where we might see her every few patches. they shouldve kept the romance stuff to trust events or special cases like vivian. shunguangs story is only perfect for a romance anime

she could have worked if we actually spent time with her throughout the season. this way the reveal that she literally doesn't remember our previous adventures would have hit much stronger. also God damn the story was DESPERATE for us to like her that it ended up having the opposite effect.
