The Digo are not related to the Pokomo, Kikuyu, or Kamba. These communities speak very different languages and are geographically far apart. If they all originated from Shungwaya as Digo, how did such distinct languages emerge? Furthermore, the Digo, Galla, and Segeju are all said to have migrated from Shungwaya and were reportedly able to communicate fluently with one another. If they belonged to different tribes with different languages, how were they able to communicate so effectively during their migration and settlement?
