My first memory is darkness. I felt nothing. I knew nothing.no sensation. It was peaceful. I didn’t need anything or want nothing. No thoughts circling around me. It was safe. I knew I existed but also didn’t exist at the same time. My first thought was I exist and I am. Didn’t have a name to know. That was heaven for me. Then a rectangular screen appeared or maybe it was my first time opening my eyes. It was all grey in color. Like an old video cassette tape on a box tv my first years of life fast forward. All blurred together. The images and sounds. After it finished I woke up to the life of color in my bed at the age of 4. That memory has never faded or been forgotten. I can immediately call it up. It’s clear. Brief as it was. I wish to return to that state. It was so wonderful and I miss it.
