My biggest piece of advice is to look for inspiration in things OTHER than weddings! Look at dinner parties, vintage magazines, etc. but trying to pull inspo from other people’s weddings can just lead to comparison which isn’t inspiring 💙

I’m in the same boat! Trying to plan a lowkey “average” wedding but all the inspo on TikTok and Pinterest are elaborate weddings way out of budget for most people, it’s tough. It’s very doable though! You got this :)

We’re also planning a 50 person wedding with a budget around $12k. Keeping it small and intimate makes it less stressful and special but can’t help but feel bummed seeing these huge beautiful weddings.

I feel this, I have a $15k budget and out guest list is wayyy bigger than 50. I’ve had to let go of what I see in everyone else’s wedding and know this is exactly what me and my fiance want!!

THIS. Also let’s also recognize that in a lot of areas… 100k gets you BASICS for a normal sized wedding… those ones you see are double what you think…. And majority of those who go in with a budget also end up doubling it just to get those basics 😳
