Ik you didn’t get the point of the story.. so Basically Lucy dream wasn't "just a dream" in the normal sense. The story seems to intentionally blur the line between dreams, alternate worlds, souls, memories, and grief… Lucy was Depressed, Traumatized, Unable to sleep, Unable to eat, Isolating herself from everyone… The other world became a place where she could confront the pain she had been avoiding. Whether that world was literally real, spiritually real, or symbolically real becomes less important than what it did for her. When she wakes up happy, it's not because nothing happened. It's because she finally found closure. And the part where she forgets everything is tragic but also beautiful. Even if she can't remember David, Beneca, or what happened there, the healing remains. She can't recall the journey, but the journey changed her. So, if you're asking: "Was it real?" The story heavily implies that it was a real parallel world or spiritual realm that Lucy genuinely visited… It represents Lucy's process of grief and acceptance, helping her move forward after loss… The fact that the Gatekeeper Cat offered her a choice to stay forever or return home is one of the strongest pieces of evidence that it wasn't merely an ordinary dream… For Lucy, whatever that world was, it helped her live again. And maybe that's what mattered most… In short her soul travel in another universe :))
