Maybe make the path like a old prison area the town used to have before undead asylum. Not saying make a grand thing, just a sewer/aquaduct path with flowing water (since its from a well) and jail cells along the way to make it look more interesting than an empty path. Would make sense to line it up with lore cuz blighttown does line up with another sewer system. It connects with the area your getting to instead of just some hole in the wall leading to the town, a building can be generated with a gate you have to open with a key you find along the way.

The passage through the tree looks great, congratulations on the work! I think to make the path shorter or more "engaging" you could create a slightly larger structure between the tunnels, with some enemies so you don't just walk around, or use a vertical staircase.
