I work at a pediatric office and we have to explain to kids that it’s going to be a lot of pressure and sound weird but tell us if it’s sharp like if you fall and scrape your knee

I agree with the others…you were numb. That’s just how terrible it feels when you have tooth pulled every time. Just next time you’ll know what to expect 😂

Pressure x20 is normal, sharp shooting isn’t, Novocain doesn’t take away pressure unfortunately. Don’t let that keep you away or you’ll need more pulled again one day. I do 9- 24 mouth exts most days at my job because of people not wanting to go to the dentist over the years:( -Dental assistant

Agreed with the girls above there is a difference between pain and pressure…we can’t take away pressure that being said we also have a max amount of anesthetic we can give you! So it’s like 30 secs of pain or he leaves you with a half pulled tooth and sends you to Oral surgeon that it’s possibly gonna take 2-4wks to get into!

I’m a dental assistant and the doctor I work for makes sure to tell ppl to let him know when they hurt he always numbs them as much as they need. Not every dentist is the same and ur oral health is very important. Next time they have to work on something ask for nitrous for your nerves and don’t be afraid to let them know how you feel. It’s super important that you take care of ur teeth if they get infected and it gets into your bloodstream is can cause death it’s that serious
