I spent so much of my life trying to become the “perfect” version of myself that I forgot how to actually feel free. I was so focused on being productive, polished, successful, and put together that somewhere along the way… I stopped playing. I stopped letting life feel light. And lately, I’ve been realizing that maybe joy was never meant to be earned through perfection. Maybe it was always meant to be experienced through presence. Because the more I unlearn, the more I understand that my happiness is not something I should have to justify. My softness is not weakness. My excitement is not childish. My authenticity is not something that needs to be toned down to make other people comfortable. And honestly? Choosing joy in a world that constantly profits off insecurity feels revolutionary.
