It’s honestly not about age as much as presentation and social coding. You don’t really do makeup, hair, or fashion in a way people stereotypically associate with youth, and that changes how people read you. Tone of voice, cadence, confidence, facial expressions, and even the way someone delivers a sentence all shape perception. Expression lines can start incredibly young too, mine started around 18. People act like aging has one universal look when it doesn’t. A lot of what people label as “young” is actually styling, trends, softness in speech, and socially learned behaviour like vocal inflection, baby talk, or current fashion cues. Age itself is just a number; people are reacting to presentation patterns they’ve been conditioned to associate with certain life stages.
