@woodlarkblog: turning my son’s handwriting into a keepsake ✨ I love finding ways to repurpose vintage linens and since my oldest turned double digits last month I’ve been thinking of ways to preserve these last (few, but hopefully many more) years of childhood magic. I have a huge collection of vintage handkerchiefs that I’ve collected over the years and thought it’d be fun to turn a couple of them into something sentimental—this was the year that my son stopped calling me “mama” and started calling me “mom” 😅 which at first made me a little sad I thought this was a sweet way to preserve that memory. I had my oldest write directly onto a sheet of water soluble stabilizer that I embroidered directly over. You can also use a heat erasable fabric marker to write directly onto the fabric. I also made one with my handwriting for my own mama! #upcycledcrafts #handembroidery #handmadegifts #cottagecore
