I'm in no way trying to make you feel bad for this but you definitely do not need to wash the chicken. You are cooking it and therefore removing any bad things. You'll just spread potential bacteria all over the sink.

Thanks for sharing this dish is amazing. I’m going to try this tonight. I love coconut milk and this meal is quick and perfect. Yes, I do wash my chicken with lime and salt, because this gets rid of the raw taste. Just saying because there is a whole other debate going on with this thread.
