Its not a status thing. He loves airplane very much, like he is a proper enthusiast. I have talk to a malaysian airtraffic controller before, he was managing the sultans landing in one of malaysias airport. One runway was small and under renovation and the sultan requested to land on that particular runway with his 747. Of course they denied but he said he likes the challenge cos its a short runway and he was flying a 747. Since he is a sultan, it was hard to them to say no again and gave him the green light to try. And then he did land it beautifully with just less room to brake and then the sultan gave them a thumbs up with a smile. It was funny story yet interesting
