@avior_trumpet: Build backwards 🤯 Guys, if you're not writing your own phrases, you won't be able to “improvise” them. Working on a new tune? Break it into small sections - one or two bars, up to four bars. Then write 7 different ideas over the harmony. Do that for a week on the same 4 bars, and you'll never get stuck in this spot again! An easy way to start is to choose target notes for each chord and try to lead your lines into them. That's really helps the harmony "pop" out 👌
