In Grey's Anatomy when Ellen Pompeo was pregnant they wrote Meredith giving a kidney to her father so she was in bed for a few episodes. I love that one becuase they did a huge deal out of her giving her kidney and it didnt felt forced, it added character development on her relationship with Lexie

I liked the X Files where they had good camera angles and a coat, and it helped that the show was dark and kind of intimate at times. Then they wrote it into the story of a cool way.

I will always, ALWAYS prefer the comically oversized props over writing the pregnancy into the show. I HATED the storyline in Superstore when Amy has her second kid. Made no sense, and I would have preferred her walking around Cloud 9 with a laundry basket.

i think one the more weird is having the character serve as a surrogate for her brother( Phoebe) And one common was make the character stay sit all the interactions (Van Pelt in the Mentalist and Olivia Benson in SVU)
