This doesn’t always work. lol they stop you there and say - youll have opportunity to ask questions at the end. If you ask still means you don’t listened to instructions .

The problem is most roles don’t have clear expectations and you probably wouldn’t get the answer you’re seeking.

I’ve done this before during the interview for my current role, I used their key points for my STAR method. Trust me, interview is a story telling scenario just take over the scene as the director and you will be fine. Mind you, your JD is your script, play along with it and you will be just fine.

They'll take you as someone who doesn't have patience to ask your questions after given time to ask

The interviewer knows what you are trying to do and we set the expectation for the flow of the conversation at the beginning, if you refuse to follow instructions its not a good impression, why fast track, thats a question anyone can google and thats best for next steps.

So, in what context should you use this question? Do you just ask the question out of the blues

Most interviews are structured...during the intro the tell you, that you will be allowed to ask your questions after they have finishedwith their questions.

Q.If you’re stepping into this role on day one, what would be your focus in the first 90 days? OR Q.How would you approach your first 90 days in this role, and what strategic priorities would you focus on to drive early impact?

I don't recommend. It's generic and I would tell you there and then. If you are successful, you will surely find out. Then immediately turn it around and ask you difficult questions 😏.
