Then came the moment I first held you and I knew for certain your soul was here.. not arriving… not forming… but already whole. I saw it in your eyes when we locked gazes while I fed you for the first time. I felt it in your laugh that bubbled out like music. I heard it in your cries so full of truth, full of spirit. You didn’t need to know your soul yet. You were your soul, unfiltered and free. And while your body was still learning, and your mind was still growing, your soul was already shining through in every smile every stare every little stretch every dream you had while sleeping beside me. You are made of something ancient and eternal A piece of heaven, wrapped in skin. And even before you could speak or understand who you are, I knew you. I felt you. I loved you. There’s one thing you will never have to grow into. And that’s your soul. you came here with it. And you’ll spend your life discovering how brightly it was always meant to shine.
