I wish people would stop fear mongering good parents into thinking their children are “falling behind”, in turn making them buy on impulse rather than judge if their child is actually ready for something like using scissors. Children progress in different directions, and not at the same age or rate. Some children have six teeth and are walking by 12 mo. Others are still crawling with a mouthful of teeth at the same age. Neither of them are behind, they’re just progressing differently.

Wrong. At two, kids should learn how to tear paper. At three, they can learn to snip paper. When you rush children and skip major parts of their development, they learn bad habits.
