I used to pack a bag send food and everything while going through a divorce. One day my mom pulled that bag off of my shoulder and said HELL NO let him figure it out no one makes it easy for you. I never sent another bag 😂

I’m trying to get my girlfriend to stop going the extra mile. I love taking care of her and her son. She’s a great mother to her son. I love both of them so much. I don’t have any kids, but I care for him like he’s mine. She’s doing a better job of setting boundaries with her son’s dad. Because I’m not going to allow her to get overwhelmed. We set boundaries over here!

One time when I was still with my ex, I was going out of town for two days and he took our son to his moms house so he could work and his mom and sister started texting my phone asking why I didn’t pack a bag because they didn’t like what the dad brought. I was like yall need to take that up with him I’m already out of town. They told me it was my job as the mom to make sure he had what he needed. These mothers and sisters are the biggest enablers.

I was always a bag packer even tho she had everything she needed at his place because I never wanted her to lack. She deserves the same quality of life in both home and unfortunately I couldn’t trust he would provide that. It was always about my child’s comfort tho
