Slight correction for my science followers who caught this mistake; cream of tartar is potassium bitartrate not phosphate, but it’s the most accessible home substitute for Cade’s formula. It’s not 1-1 chemically, but serves a similar purpose in the drink both taste and health wise (this is why I’m a history and not a science channel lol)

So I just made a version of this and it is so good! I use honey, pink salt, lemon juice and water. It taste just like if I got a bottle from store.

Pickle juice is a better electrolyte drink than Gatorade. A lot of NHL players drink pickle juice during intermission and musicians drink it when they’re on tour during their long sets. It’s also good for period cramps.
