My elderly mom went to a Billy Joel show in Tampa. Her tickets were in the back of the arena, last row up top. She was just thrilled to be there. She ended up being the beneficiary of being moved to the front row. For years, she talked about how amazing that was.

Me and my girlfriends went to his concert with Stevie nicks, we had nosebleeds and were just happy to be there but we were down hanging around the concessions because it was a better view and sure enough we were approached and giving front row seats!!! It was magical and unforgettable

I've seen him multiple times. December 10, 1999, my sister, sister-in-law and I were moved up to the 4th row. But you were allowed to stand at the edge of the stage. It. Was. Awesome! We also went home with his leftover whiskey in the red solo cups courtesy of the security guard I was talking to during the show. Best show souvenir I've ever had!

I could only afford to buy nosebleeds back then, but I surprised my parents with tickets for Christmas while in college. Thanks to Mr. Billy Joel, they were upgraded to front row. They were his biggest fans. Glad my dad had a chance to see him before he passed 😌
