@dig_it_starnes_: If this performs like crap I’ll delete. Paid a lot of hard earned dollars for this heaping chunk of American steel. #heavyequipment #caterpillar #dozer
You going to haul this with the 2500 and gooseneck 😂😂

you got yourself a cheap d9 that will run forever! I know its a D8, but the 8L is the same size as the modern D9

L stood for Large. D8L is a D9N…reasons why they never built anything over a 10L it was an 11N. They’re slow, they steer terrible, and not real comfortable but they would push good

undercarriage looks excellent and personally, . . it's a lot of machine, but it will perform a D6.

As long as it’s cat undercarriage you have something. If it’s aftermarket you have nothing.

You’re gonna end up keeping it because it’s not gonna cost you a penny once to get the brakes fixed

you know that they are basically the same size as the D9N . you will need to get a good set of earmuffs before sitting on that all day with the 3408 running up front. before you start to use it pull up the floor boards under the cab area and make sure that none of the pipes are rubbing. you have fuel line and hydraulic lines and transmission lines all running around in there with the tailshaft and I've seen a few that have caught fire and been destroyed because of piping rubbing.
