@kaisonu_spt: 2 tests used to assess for ulnar sided wrist pain: 1) Hook of hamate pull test: Used to assess for fractures or pathology of the hook of the hamate. The patient flexes the 4th and 5th digit against resistance, which places stress on the flexor tendons using the hook of the hamate as a pulley. (+) test: Reproduction of pain in the hypothenar region or at the hook of hamate. 2) Ulnocarpal compaction test: Used to assess for ulnar impaction syndrome or TFCC pathology. An axial load is applied through the wrist in ulnar deviation, often utilizing slight twisting or grinding motion to reproduce symptoms. (+) test: Reproduction of pain or symptoms on the ulnar side of the wrist. #spt #dpt #physicaltherapy #fracture #wristpain
