Acute Coronary Syndrome is a group of conditions caused by sudden reduced blood flow to the heart muscle. It includes unstable angina, NSTEMI, and STEMI. ACS usually occurs when a coronary artery becomes partially or completely blocked by a blood clot forming on a ruptured atherosclerotic plaque.
