When I was 13 I had abnormal bleeding and severe pain with periods. I was told to lose weight and was put on birth control. Anytime I went off BC my periods god so bad I ended up needing multiple blood transfusions. Last year, at 39, I had to have a full hysterectomy and both ovaries removed due to endometriosis that had turned into endometrial cancer and ovarian cancer separately. If they had treated my endometriosis when I first complained, maybe I would have saved thousands of dollars in medical care and perhaps become a mother. Systematic medical misogyny cost me my fertility. But yay for sperms wheelchairs, I guess. I guess i should have focused more on losing weight and not having so much anxiety.
