In the eyes of a man, Lou's a heartless bitch. In the eyes of a thinker, she's a woman who desires freedom from societal expectations. So she researched how man and woman can live together without falling in love with each other. She first did it with both Nietzsche and Paul. Nietzsche proposed to her and she rejected him, leaving the man heartbroken. To make things worse, she married Paul and left Nietzsche alone by himself. Not even an apology. Not even a letter. She treated the men in her studies no more than materials. Thus dehumanizing them. This profound heartbreak drove Nietzsche to write some of his greatest works, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, The Gay Science and so on. In his works, he wrote that human relationships, especially love, is not meant to be controlled nor standardized. Love is an emotion, and emotion is subjective due to each person have different experiences. Love is the most powerful because it is what makes us humans. When we love, we choose to offer ourselves to others. That is the highest form of freedom. The very thing that Lou pursue yet she rejected. Nietzsche also stated that we must love and appreciate life as it has been given to us. We must accept the unstoppable reality rather than controlling it. This is what he called "Amor Fati". To appreciate life despite everything, because the whole process is beautiful. Lou never understood such concept, because she had been blinded by intellectual obsession and delivering social "justice". Until her last day, she failed to pursue freedom as she refused one. She perceived love as weakness, but she didn't know that love what makes us humans. Lou's whole life was a failure the moment she rejected freedom. And all things she did to Nietzsche and other men made her far worse. She left Nietzsche heartbroken, never apologized and even capitalized his works without ever credited him due to her lethal self-destructive arrogant. In the eyes of modern philosophers, Lou was nothing but a heartless bitch blinded by scientific obsession and fractured justice. People appreciate your works, but they never regard you as human, as you refused to become one
