It’s was like this Monday the 15th and Friday the 19th was actually worse the ques to get in the airport went all round the building outside , the TUI reps was stressed

One of the worst airports in Europe. We landed last October to 8 plane loads of passengers on the tarmac queuing up the ramps for PP control.

The suitcases are taken off the carousel because others can’t get their cases if the carousel is full. People are just trying to be helpful. I was there last Monday too and I agree it was very very stressful but the belts they come out of are tiny and there’s on 2.

I feel like i went through a different corfu airport, i was out within 15 minutes with my luggage included & 15 mins through security on the way back and that was just a couple of days ago.

Had to queue for an 1hr 30 last friday just to get through passport control because the EES was down. Luckily our bags hadn’t been moved and they were still on the carriage. However the carriage they were on had the wrong flights listed. Our flight wasn’t even listed anywhere on any notice boards. It was such a mess 😂

It’s almost always like this on a Monday and Friday, especially around lunchtime, as so many planes arrive at the same time (cruise days). Absolute nightmare! BUT.. worth it for the amazing hospitality and pure relaxation of Corfu (once you get out of the airport 🤣)

Travel light, don't bring half your wardrobe. a Rucksack for 10 days is plenty in summer.

At Corfu airport going home now and not had any problems with luggage or passports. All efficient, quick, professional. And friendly!!!! Love Greece 🥰

This happened to me last Monday! Mum could find hers but mine was missing for a good hour, was proper stressing til we asked the airport staff for help and it was hiding somewhere. Not the best start to the holiday, especially waiting for an hour and half to get through passport control 🤯
