@dil9842: London May Day March & Rally 2026 Thank you to all members who took part in the London May Day March & Rally on 4 May 2026, marching from Clerkenwell Green to Trafalgar Square. This year marked 100 years since the 1926 General Strike — a powerful reminder of our movement’s history and the strength we hold when we stand together. We heard from speakers at both Clerkenwell Green and Trafalgar Square, each delivering a brilliant speech that honoured the legacy of 1926, addressed the challenges facing workers today, and reinforced the importance of collective action across our movement. Their contributions set a strong and united tone for the day. A video recorded of this event provides a flavour of the successful May Day March and Rally, capturing the energy, unity, and pride shown throughout the day. The turnout from branches across London was outstanding. Members, families, young workers, and community allies all helped make this a proud and visible show of unity. A special thank you goes to all reps who served as stewards on the day. Your work ensured the march ran safely, smoothly, and with the discipline our movement is known for. May Day remains a living tradition — a day to honour our past, celebrate our collective power, and recommit to the ongoing fight for fair pay, safe workplaces, equality, and justice.
