HIGH PROTEIN SHRIMP ALFREDO Full recipe down below Makes 4 servings Macros per serving:
• 635 calories
• 55g protein
• 76g carbs
• 11g fat I was down 25 lbs, but had to take a break for my wedding, so I’m currently down 20 lbs since starting. The goal was 40lbs in 90 days before the wedding but with all the wedding chaos, only hit 25 lbs. Now we’re locked back in. Winter arc starts now. High-protein meals like this are how we’re getting it done. Follow along and join me for the winter arc. Ingredients: Shrimp:
• 1 lb peeled and deveined shrimp, patted dry
• ¼ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp black pepper
• ¼ tsp garlic powder
• ¼ tsp paprika
• ¼ tsp chili powder
• ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
• Cooking oil spray Pasta + Alfredo Sauce:
• 1 lb Barilla Protein+ fettuccine or linguine
• ½ cup low-fat milk
• ⅓ cup reduced-fat cream cheese
• ½ cup shredded Parmesan
• ⅓ cup shredded mozzarella
• ¼ tsp salt
• ¼ tsp black pepper
• ¼ tsp garlic powder
• ¼ tsp paprika
• ¼ tsp chili powder
• ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
• ½ tsp garlic paste
• ½ to 1 cup reserved pasta water, as needed Optional:
• Fresh parsley or cilantro INSTRUCTIONS 1. Cook the pasta until al dente. Before draining, save about 1 cup of pasta water. 2. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder and cayenne. 3. Lightly spray a large pan with oil and cook the shrimp over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes per side, or until just cooked through. Remove and set aside. 4. Blend the milk, cream cheese, parmesan, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, chili powder, cayenne and garlic paste until smooth. 5. Pour the sauce into the same pan over medium-low heat. Warm it gently for 2 to 3 minutes. 6. Add the cooked pasta and toss until coated. Add a splash of pasta water at a time until the sauce is creamy and glossy. 7. Stir in the mozzarella, then add the shrimp back in. Toss everything together until creamy and heated through. 8. Finish with parsley and grated parmesan. The biggest thing I’m learning during this cut is that the food still has to be good enough that you actually want to eat it again tomorrow. #HighProteinRecipes #ShrimpAlfredo #WeightLossMeals #ProteinPasta #HealthyComfortFood
