@_kt_lee_: 6 days in hospital 5 days in ICU 4 days in an induced coma The paramedics who were first on scene came to visit the day I was extubated. They remembered my name, my family, my dogs. A thank you didn’t seem like enough. I was cared for in such an exceptional way that saying it was traumatic feels like I’m dissing the people who went above and beyond. Then there is the guilt. Because I know not everyone makes it out ok. Especially when people say it was my strength, because I certainly wasn’t strong; my body had a complete trantrum and refused to do anything it should have done.
