I've never seen 220V residential, commercial, or industrial light bulbs. I've wired and programmed everything in the industrial electrical world: large PLC-controlled panels, HMIs, and robots, etc. I've never connected a 220V light. I have wired 220V lights using a 220V to 110V transformer.

The United States industrial electric uses 110v AC to 24V DC transformers as the gold standard for industrial control logic. The majority of the motors are 480v. Let's talk PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo motors, linear rails, robots, mnemonics, or ladder logic? Light bulb in the control cabinet are 110v.
