Getting water and electrolytes straight into her stomach because she’s too far gone to drink. Cars slowing down to look. I don’t care. Let them see. This is what “dumped and left to die” looks like at noon on a Tuesday. She lifted her head when the fluids hit. Just for a second. Laid it right back in my lap. But her eyes are brighter.
