@homeschoolandhoelck: I used to try to remember everything in my head and it made me feel like my brain was constantly running in the background 😅 groceries, appointments, homeschool stuff, dinner, random things we needed from the store… it was always something. So now anytime I think of something I just throw it into @Nori before I forget again 😂 it’s honestly helped my mental load so much lately #homeschoolmom #sleepdeprivedmom #momsover30 #norifamilyai #homeschoolersoftiktok
It literally is a job, it's called invisible labor. Nannying is a job, being a teacher is a job, being a housekeeper is a job, being a bookkeeper is a job, chef/cook is a job. A SAHM does literally all this and more.

parenting is a lifestyle choice. not a job. if you view parenting as a job, you're doing it wrong. raising kids is hard work but it's a labor of love.

Someone said "if it's easy you're doing it wrong" and I couldn't agree more, especially if you're doing it without support.

I’d rather be a sahm than work tbh. You can do what you want on your time.

I spent 2 months being a SAHD while I was layed off from work last year, 4 kids, 2 home with me all day, and I sat there a lot of days with all house chores caught up wondering what I was doing wrong because everybody said it would be hard

Cooking, cleaning, childcare, transportation, grocery shopping, finance budgeting, scheduling and for homeschool like my kids teaching, are all PAID jobs yet we do them as sahm! You’re definitely not lazy momma!

Not the mention the absolute mental health nightmare of it being Groundhog Day every day with folding laundry that never ends, dishes that never seem to end, no friends and never leaving the house unless it’s for a kids activity.

my mental health has never been worse. idk why people cant just be empathetic and understand not everyone has the same experience. Just because you had an easy time with it doesn't invalidate the experiences of others. it's so so so easy to just have some empathy instead of intentionally trying to put others down

As someone whos done both, easiest thing is working part time fr. Staying at home all the time is deadly for mental health and working full time is exhausting and all I do is miss my kid

I work in the medical field where 16-18hr shifts are my norm. I was a SAHM for four years. Being a SAHM was the hardest job I’ve ever had.

I swear it depends on your situation cause I’m a SAHM with just one, no animals to have to chase after, a huge village and a husband who is home half the month so we spilt cooking, cleaning and caregiving most of the time and it’s the easiest phase of my life. I absolutely love it here.
