@solaakingbola: This is part of the story of the Black Atlantic. When drums were restricted in the Caribbean, it wasn’t just about sound - it was about disrupting communication, memory, connection. But the rhythm didn’t disappear. It found another way through. In Trinidad, that evolution became steel pan - a new instrument carrying an old intelligence. Not just survival. Transformation. This is what Black Atlantic Funk speaks to - the way rhythm adapts, travels, and returns. Ever you ever heard a more joyful expression of resistance? #blackatlantic #trinidad #blackdiaspora #yoruba #newmusic
